Why not take a look around an immaculately restored early Tudor merchant's house in Axbridge, Somerset. It is the home to a fascinating local history museum and is part of the National Trust, meaning there's lots of wonderful surroundings to explore.
King John's Hunting Lodge provides a fascinating insight into local history. There is a small entry charge of £2.50 per person, which is completely worth it if you ask us. Entry is free for National Trust members.
