Saltaire Victorian Village | Bradford, Yorkshire

Pay a visit to Saltaire, the Victorian model village located in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Given status as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001, Saltaire is a must-visit if you're passing by.

Marvel at the perfectly preserved Victorian architecture, pop into the local restaurants and cafes and make sure you stop by the Salts Mill to take a look at David Hockney's largest collection of work (he was born in Bradford).

The village has been featured in many period dramas (including An Inspector Calls, Funny Cow and The Hunter's Prayer) and so is definitely worth a visit if you're a TV or film buff.

Saltaire is a working village and so admission is completely free, making this a great historical trip out for the whole family.
