Biddenden Vineyard | Biddenden, Kent

No trip to Kent is complete without paying a visit to the Biddenden Vineyards. Take a wander through Kent's first commercial vineyard, which is still run by the same family that started it.

Now into the second and third generation of the Barnes family managing the estate, Biddenden Vineyard spans 23 acres of south-facing slopes. The vineyard produces award-winning white, rosé, red and sparkling English wines.

Whether you're a wine connoisseur or not, a trip to Biddenden Vineyards is a must. Entrance is free to the public all year round, but on occasion, the vineyard walks may be closed for essential spraying during summer and harvest. It's best to ring ahead to confirm for your visit.

Plus, you can partake in organised tours that are followed by a sampling of wines, ciders and juices. On-site is a vast selection of local artisan foods, such as cheese, preserves and chutneys.

The perfect place to spend an afternoon!
