Free Bus Travel in Swansea
Swansea locals — here's a brilliant Christmas perk from Swansea Council! Free bus travel is back across the city, running on selected weekends from Saturday 21st November right through to Thursday 31st December 2026 (with some weekday dates included in the run-up to Christmas too).
There's no ticket to grab and no pass to show — just hop on any qualifying bus and enjoy the ride. The offer covers services run by First Cymru, Adventure Travel, South Wales Transport and DANSA. It applies to any journey that both starts and finishes within the Swansea Council area (think Gorseinon, Pontarddulais, Gower and Morriston), and you don't need to be a Swansea resident to benefit. All journeys must start before 7pm (extended to 9pm on Sunday 22nd November for the Christmas Parade). National Express, Flixbus, and the park-and-ride services (First Cymru routes 51 and 52) are not included. Click our pink button below for the full dates and boundary map.
