The Dumfries Museum is a one stop shop to learn all about the history of Dumfries & Galloway, as well as Scotland's wider history of the land and people.
You will get to see everything from the prehistoric fossilised footprints of animals, to the tools and weapons that were used by early humans in the area. Other exhibits showcase Victorian history, and the incredible stone carvings by Scotland's first Christians.
The museum itself is completely free to enter, but if you wish to see the Camera Obscura too, there is a small fee.
The museum also hosts one-off events, so it's worth checking out their social media pages to see what's on.
