The Dock Museum | Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

The Dock Museum in Barrow-in-Furness, is a hub for the history of Vikings, Ship-building and Barrow's social history.

The museum itself is built in a historic 19th century dock, and many nautical artefacts and curiosities call it home. Barrow-in-Furness started out as a small farming village, and it rapidly grew into an industrial town in just a few decades - so there's plenty of history to explore!

Not only can you learn all about submarines & airships, but you'll also be taken on a journey through discovered Viking treasure, Victorian life in the town - right up to WWII.
