The Shoe Museum | Somerset

Heading to Street in Somerset? The make sure you take a trip to The Shoe Museum - it's a truly fantastic day out for one and all.

The shoe museum has four galleries, which display a total of 1,500 varieties of shoes. From Roman styles to the modern day, there are so many styles to discover.

Visitors can also get a glimpse of the fearsome foot measuring machines that used to feature in Clark's shops - they are quite shocking! There's also a selection of shop display showcards from the thirties, fifties and sixties.

More highlights include Princess Diana's wedding slipper and a replica of a pair worn by our Queen.
