Museum of Science & Industry | Manchester

Located on the historic site of the world's oldest surviving passenger railway station the Museum of Science & Industry tells the story of Manchester's scientific and industrial past, present, and future.

Manchester was the World's first Industrial city, and it's discoveries and innovations over the last 250 years have had a great influence not only locally, but globally.

Inside the museum, visitors can explore the vast Objects And Stories collection. Objects range from tiny molecular model balls to huge steam engines. Stories include that of the scientist, John Dalton, who formulated a theory to explain chemical reactions, and Boddingtons Breweries which brewed beer in Manchester for 227 years.
