Visit the extensive remains of one of the most important East Anglian monasteries, the Cluniac Priory of Our Lady of Thetford. This free day out features lots of historic remains and is great if you fancy some fresh air and a walk around a piece of history.
Survivals include the lower walls of the church and cloister along with the shell of the prior's lodging. There is also an almost complete 14th Century gatehouse.
The site is open daily from 8am to 6pm April until September and 8am to 4pm from October to March. There is also a free car park on site for visitors.
