St Mary's Guildhall in Coventry is a site that has ties to many famous figures from history, and so it's really worth visiting if you get the chance! Entry is completely free, although donations are greatly received to help with the upkeep.
This guildhall is widely believed to be the finest remaining guildhall in the country! You can feast your eyes on the huge tapestry, or learn about how Mary Queen of Scots was detained at the guildhall for a time. There is also strong evidence that Shakespeare would have performed his works here too.
