Robert Burns is celebrated as the national poet of Scotland and is even celebrated worldwide for his work.

He lived and died in Dumfries, and you can visit his house for free to learn about his life and work! Burns died in the house in 1796, when he was just 37 years old.

Robert Burns also famously rebelled against religion, and many people admire him for his strong views - making his house a popular attraction.
