Durham Cathedral | Durham

Looking for things to do in Durham? Make sure you pay a visit to Durham Cathedral, commonly considered the greatest Norman building in the UK, and perhaps Europe.

Durham Cathedral was one of the first buildings to be given World Heritage status in 1986, along with the Taj Mahal and the Palace of Versailles. It is a beautiful and awe-inspiring building that is well worth taking a look around, to admire its architecture and status.

The Cathedral is open every day of the year to visitors. There is no charge for admission, but it is encouraged to donate so that this UNESCO World Heritage Site can continue to be maintained and enjoyed for years to come.

Opening times are Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 6pm and Sunday until 5.30pm.
