If you're planning a trip to Ipswich, you must stop by the stunning medieval St Lawerence Church!
This church is the proud owner of the older original set of church bells in the world - quite a claim, so it's definitely worth paying it a visit. This fact is recorded in the Guinness book of world records.
St Lawrence Church is located in the heart of Ipswich and even though it dates back to the 15th Century, it was rebuilt in 1882 and that's when it got its striking geometric bell tower.
The highlights of this stunning piece of history include the stained glass window by Charles Gibbs of London, winged cherubs and a 1764 epitaph which showcases some interesting Georgian prose.
Pay this fabulous church a visit to soak up all the wonderful history!
