The Lapworth Museum of Geology has the finest and most extensive collections of fossily, minerals and rocks in the Midlands. Dating back to 1880, the Museum is one of the oldest specialist geological-museums in the UK.
The museum is run by the University of Birmingham and located on the University's campus in Edgebaston, south Birmingham. If you are a fossil fan or have a little explorer on your hands make sure you check it out.
Entrance is free to the museum and it is open every day of the week. Monday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday 12 noon - 5 pm.
