Based right in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, Ouseburn Farm is a hidden gem and well worth a visit next time you're in the area.
Ouseburn Farm is a working farm, run and supported solely by volunteers and the local community. It's a great place to visit with the kids, as they can pet, feed and learn about lots of different animals - big and small.
There are grazing animals in the meadow, pigs, chickens, ducks and more in the farmyard and a collection of furry animals and reptiles living inside.
If you're feeling peckish, Ouseburn Farm has an excellent cafe with lots of different options for even the fussiest of eaters.
Entrance to Ouseburn is free, however, if you can spare any donation it would be highly appreciated. Opening times are 9.30-17.00 during the week and 10.30-16.30 at the weekend.
Concessions: Free entry
