Great North Museum: Hancock | Newcastle

The Great North Museum: Hancock is a museum of natural history based in Newcastle. It was established in 1884 and incorporates collections from the Hancock Museum, Newcastle University's Museum of Antiquities, the Shefton Museum and the Hatton Gallery.

One of the highlights is a large-scale, interactive model of Hadrian's Wall. The little ones (and big ones!) will be enthralled by the collections showing the wonder and diversity of the animal and plant kingdoms, and spectacular objects from Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt.

Entrance to the Great North Museum: Hancock is free. The museum is open Friday - Sunday, from 13.00 - 20.00 on Friday and 10.00 - 18.00 on Saturday and Sundays.

The museum is located in Hancock, just a 5-minute walk from the Metro station and two stops from Newcastle upon Tyne Central Station.

Concessions: Free entry
