The Collection Museum | Lincoln, Lincolnshire

The Collection is a museum dedicated to archaeological curiosities, and it sits alongside the Usher Gallery too.

The museum itself sits on the site of a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and in 2003 the site underwent excavation. The project revealed evidence of occupation during the Roman period, as well as Anglo-Scandinavian findings and Medieval ceramics. The museum was built after Victorian houses built on the site, were destroyed in the 1960s.
