Pret A Manger are giving away free coffees and food items every day and the CEO has revealed how you can get one.
So if you are particularly friendly or are wearing something fantastic, the barrister may reward you with a freebie at the counter.
Schlee told the Standard, 'We looked at loyalty cards but we didn't want to spend all that money building up some complicated Clubcard-style analysis.
'Instead the staff have to give away a certain number of hot drinks and food every week. They will decide 'I like the person on the bicycle' or 'I like the guy in that tie' or 'I fancy that girl or that boy!'. It means 27 per cent of people have had something for free. It's a nice, different way of doing it,' he said.
So what does this mean for freebie hunters?
Be nice! Be very, very nice. You can't guarantee you'll get a freebie (it's completely at their discretion) from asking for one but it could be worth a cheeky go.
Put on your best smile, launch into a charm offensive and you might just get a free coffee or sandwich for your efforts.
Schlee clearly knows the power of a freebie as the coffee chain's sales increased by 16 per cent last year to a whopping £594 million, with their pre-tax profits going up by 14 percent and netting them a cool £76 million.
He's got big plans, too. Telling the Standard 'We'd like to be a successful British global company - one that is really successful in different continents and that would be a very worth goal.'
Pret: taking over the world and making it a nicer place - one free coffee at a time!
