Do you love a bargain and want to know how to save money on fashion and beauty?
You've come to the right place. Here Kirsty from My Fashion Budget shares her secret money-saving tips.
Sign up to as many free loyalty cards as you can! Lots of big retailers have them. A few that come to mind are Tesco Clubcard, Boots Advantage Card, Superdrug Beautycard and Debenhams Beauty Club.
Each retailer has different ways of helping you save money, such as 'boost your points' coupons, money-off coupons and sometimes even freebies! You don't have to only spend money at their shops either, for example you can collect Sainsbury's Necar card points at Lastminute.com and eBay, too. You can also collect Advantage Card points through online shops such as Matalan via their Treat Street programme.
As part of your membership they will also send you information on exclusive discounts, sales and offers. Your points will rack up in no time and can be used to get money off your shopping or even get items for free! If you would like to find out more about saving with loyalty cards and want to take a look at a more in-depth explanation then please check out my article how to get clothes and make-up for free.
Sales in store are great, but can be a bit of a jumble sale. Online sales are the best! You can find things you like in your size and particular style by filtering through the options. Some retailers offer free delivery, but for those that don't you can often collect in store for free! It's worth signing up to the mailing lists of your favourite shops like ASOS, New Look, Next and Marks & Spencer. They all send out regular emails with news of flash sales (sales that aren't on for very long), promo codes and exclusive member-only discounts.
There are loads of websites that list the current voucher codes. ALWAYS take a look at these before shopping online! You could save yourself a fortune or even just enjoy free next day delivery. Voucher Codes is a fantastic site for listing all the live promo codes, and some codes can even be stacked for an even bigger saving. Also be sure to check out the Money Saving Expert forum for bargains - users add codes and news on sales as and when they start.
If you can't find a voucher code online then it's worth checking out the shop or brand's social media pages. They could have a 'Like our page for a 10% discount' or similar offer.
My top tip - combine all of the above! Be a savvy shopper and you can make some massive savings.
