Where Kids Eat Free (or for £1) This May Half Term 2026

The May half-term holiday is finally here! While a week away from the school routine is always welcome, keeping the kids entertained without draining your bank account can feel like a high-wire balancing act. With the cost of living still squeezing household budgets across the UK, dining out as a family might feel like an expensive luxury.
Thankfully, the UK’s biggest restaurant chains, supermarkets, and pubs are stepping up to save your sanity—and your wallet. From Sunday 24th May to Sunday 31st May 2026, there is a massive line-up of Kids Eat Free and £1 meal deals up for grabs.
To help you navigate the holiday week, we’ve put together the absolute best offers available.
Casual Dining & Restaurants
If you fancy a proper sit-down meal where someone else handles the cooking and the washing up, these high-street favourites have fantastic offers running throughout the half-term week.
Prezzo
Prezzo is turning half-term into a major event with a brilliant Children in Need Pudsey Takeover. Kids can get two courses entirely free with the purchase of any adult main meal from the à la carte menu. Even better, they’ve introduced Pudsey-shaped pizzas, interactive 3D menus, and activity sheets to keep the little ones busy.
You need to input your email on the Prezzo website ahead of time to receive a unique 9-digit voucher code to show your server.
TGI Fridays
Running all the way until 31st May, kids aged 12 and under eat free all day, every day at TGI Fridays. The children’s menu is packed with American-style classics like cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and hot dogs, making it a guaranteed hit for fussier eaters.
This offer is exclusively for Stripes Rewards members. It is completely free to join, so just download the app and register before you head out.
Zizzi
At Zizzi, kids can tuck into three courses from the “Bambini” menu for free with an adult main from 24th to 31st May (excluding Saturday 30th May). You’ll just need to be a member of their Zillionaires’ Club app.
ASK Italian
ASK Italian is offering free meals for kids from the 22nd to the 31st May, valid for up to two children’s meals per adult main, via the ASK Perks app.
Bill’s Restaurants
Looking for a spot that covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Bill’s is offering a fantastic weekday deal from Monday 25th to Friday 29th May. Up to two children aged 10 and under can eat for free when just one adult orders a full-priced main dish. Whether they want buttermilk pancakes for breakfast or mac and cheese for dinner, Bill’s has you covered.
Bella Italia
Bella Italia is taking things up a notch for May half-term 2026. While their usual offer is restricted to weekdays, they have expanded it so that kids eat completely free all day, every day from Sunday 24th to Sunday 31st May with a paying adult.
Pub Classics & Quick Bites

If you want a more relaxed atmosphere or a quick bite to eat while out on a family day trip, these pubs and chains offer incredible value.
Hungry Horse
If you want a guaranteed bargain without downloading any apps, Hungry Horse is running a £1 kids’ meal deal from Monday 25th to Friday 29th May. The £1 price tag covers a main meal, a drink, and a dessert. With options ranging from mini burgers to fish bites, it’s unbeatable value.
Flaming Grill
At Flaming Grill pubs, the deal runs Monday to Friday (25th–29th May). Kids can get a free ‘little appetites’ meal and a free dessert alongside a paying adult. If your child is slightly older or hungrier, you can upgrade to a ‘bigger appetites’ meal for just £1.
YO! Sushi
Introduce the kids to something a bit different. Children aged 12 and under eat free all week (Monday to Friday) when dining with an adult who spends a minimum of £10. The kids’ Bento boxes are self-contained, fun, and include plenty of cooked options alongside mild sushi items.
Supermarket Cafés

If you are running errands or doing the weekly food shop, don’t overlook your local supermarket café. These deals run year-round, making them a reliable backup plan.
Morrisons
Spend £5 or more on an adult meal to get one free kids’ hot or cold meal. Valid all day, every day for kids under 16.
ASDA
No adult spend required! Kids under 16 can get a hot meal for just £1, 7 days a week.
Tesco
Available Monday to Friday during half-term. You just need to purchase any adult item in the café and scan your Tesco Clubcard.
Tips Before You Dine
Before you round up the kids and head out the door, keep these top tips in mind to ensure you actually get the discount:
- Check the App Requirement: As you can see above, major brands like Prezzo, Zizzi, and TGI Fridays require you to be a member of their loyalty apps to claim the free food. Download them at home on your Wi-Fi to save time at the table.
- Watch the Calendar: Many of the best deals are restricted to weekdays (Monday to Friday) to avoid the busy bank holiday weekend traffic. Double-check the dates before booking.
- Ask Before You Sit Down: While these are national campaigns, franchise locations (like those in airports, train stations, or certain service stations) are often excluded. It never hurts to ask your server if the “Kids Eat Free” deal is live at that specific branch.
With so many major brands competing for your custom this May half-term, there is absolutely no reason to pay full price to feed the family. Download your vouchers, plan your week, and enjoy some guilt-free dining!
