Free Royal British Legion Poppy Pattern
The Royal British Legion are inviting crafters across the UK to get involved in Poppy Crafting 2026 — and they're sending out a free knitting or crochet poppy pattern to help you get started. Last year, over 9,000 crafters picked up their needles and hooks to make handmade poppies in the lead-up to Remembrance, and this year's campaign is now open.
You can choose between a postal pack (the pattern arrives by post) or an email pack (delivered straight to your inbox). If your finished poppies are ready by mid-October, you can send them in and they could be included in the London Poppy Day remembrance displays — a lovely way to take part.
