I'll let you into a terrible secret. I used to have the occasional cigarette every now and again. OK, sometimes it was a bit more than every now and again.
Anyway, this isn't the point - I'm now a non-smoker and I wanted to share it with you. There are a few things that helped me get to this point.
Firstly I read Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking which you can buy for just £8.99.
I'm not going to tell you too much about this book, as it's something you have to read for yourself, but I will say that once you've read it, you will never want to smoke again - and on top of this, you will be happy about it. Allen Carr has helped over 25 million men and women stop smoking, and now I am happy to say that I haven't smoked since reading the Easy Way to Stop Smoking. I also haven't used a single substitute, such as an electronic cigarette, nicotine gum, or patch.
Secondly I got a free NHS Quit Kit.
The Quit Kit has been improved for 2013 and is full of helpful goodies to support you once you're finished with cigarettes. I find the health and wealth wheel the most helpful, you can see how your body is changing from the moment you extinguish that final cigarette, as well as the money you've been spending on smoking.
