How to sleep like a baby

How to sleep like a baby

Do you suffer from insomnia? Why not munch on these delicious foods...

We all remember the post-Christmas-turkey-nap so why not try eating it all through the year? Turkey contains tryptophan which is an amino acid used to produced serotonin, which in turn helps to make you feel calm and relaxed.

You only need a small portion of pasta to get you relaxing. Pasta is full of carbohydrates which can have a sedative effect and will calm anxiety. Team up pasta and turkey for some great evening meal and you'll soon be hitting the pillow.

Spinach and Salmon
Salmon contains omega 3 which is easily digested and spinach has plenty of iron in it. A lack of iron can bring about leg and arm involuntary leg movements in your sleep which may cause you a restless night.

Eat a banana in the evening - it's full of potassium and will help relax your muscles. It also contains tryptophan which will help you feel calm.

Lettuce contains lactucin which helps promote sleep and relaxation. Add turkey and you've got yourself a delicious sleep-friendly meal!
