Exciting times at MagicFreebiesUK HQ. Things are growing...
I was chuffed when they arrived but due to a lack of planting paraphernalia and gardening know-how I let my free seeds sit in the drawer for ages. It wasn't until I was tucking into one of Innocent's Thai Curry Veg Pots last week I decided to give them life.
I'm not the most green-fingered of people so it took a lot of concentration and repetitive reading to understand the basic instructions on how to sow the seeds. I even had to ask my fellow colleagues for help much to their dismay.
After a small crisis on where to actually get earth I filled the said Innocent Veg Pot with soil that I 'borrowed' from a relative's newly-potted flower bed. I won't mention the unwitting soil-source incase they happen to read this.
After three days of silently willing it to grow - whilst everyone warned it wouldn't - it actually started growing! Hurrah there are now four little blooms growing nicely in their little Innocent Veg Pot home. There are even roots (the clear pot means I can spend all lunch examining them). It's all very exciting and every morning I skip into work eager to see their progress.
Today I uploaded a photo to the Heinz Greenhouse Gallery app on Facebook where they're awarding prizes to people with the best planting pics. I've entered mine into the 'First Blooms' category in the hope of winning 1 of 30 Free Pairs of Heinz Gardening Gloves.
I'm praying the plants will grow enough to a) be relocated to the garden and b) qualify for the prestigious 'Fully Grown' category in the Greenhouse Gallery.
My greenhouse aspirations were somewhat quashed when Tom spotted a mite scuttling around in the pot. This is bad apparently and I should fear the worst but I'm still going to keep willing it to grow - comeeeeee onnnn tomato plant.
If you fancy growing you own tomato plant then you can still Order Your Free Heinz Tomato Seeds and also upload your photos to the Greenhouse Gallery to be in with a chance of winning some fab prizes.
