Recipe: Perfect Scrambled Eggs

Scrambled eggs are delicious, quick and easy - you just need to know how to make them. This recipe is for two people.

Utensils needed:

  • small non-stick saucepan 
  • wooden spoon
  • mixing bowl


  • 20g butter (plus extra for spreading on your toast)
  • 2 slices of white bread
  • salt 
  • black pepper
  • smoked salmon and lemon wedges or halved  cherry tomatoes, depending on what you like best!
  • 6 eggs

How to do it...

Step 1.
Crack all the eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk it up. Melt butter into your saucepan on a medium heat until it starts foaming.

Step 2.
Add the eggs to the saucepan and stir continuously with your wooden spoon. Make sure you dig right round the edges to make sure the eggs don't stick to the pan.

Step 3.
Put your toast in the toaster.

Step 4.
Cook until most of the egg is cooked, but you still have some runny bits. Take it off the heat. (The eggs will continue to cook even when removed from the heat).

Step 5.
Divide the mixture over each slice of buttered toast. Then drape smoked salmon slices over it with a wedge of lemon. Alternatively, you can put tomatoes on the side. Season with black pepper and salt and serve immediately.
