Free Swimming for Under 16s (Nottingham)

Parents and carers in Nottingham — here's a brilliant one for keeping the kids busy this summer! Active Nottingham are running free swimming sessions for under 16s at six leisure centres across the city every weekday from Monday 27th July to Friday 28th August 2026 (excluding bank holidays). Up to 22,000 free swims are on offer across the programme.

Before you book, there are a few steps to follow. You'll need to create a free Active Nottingham account in the child's name before you can reserve a spot — accounts can be set up online or in-store at any of the centres. Once you're set up, log in and pick your preferred centre and session time. Make sure you select the ticket that matches your child's age group, as incorrect bookings may be cancelled. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over in the water. Places are limited and can be booked up to seven days in advance, so book as soon as you can.

Eligible children must be Nottingham City residents of school age. Sessions run at Clifton, Djanogly, Harvey Hadden, Ken Martin, Southglade and Victoria Leisure Centres. Hit the big pink button below to visit the Active Nottingham page, view the full timetable and get your booking sorted.
