Free Bus Travel for Kids in the West of England
West of England families, here's a brilliant summer saving! The Kids Go Free scheme is back, giving free bus travel to all under-16s across Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire for the entire school summer holidays. There's no sign-up, no app to download and no voucher to grab — just hop on board.
The scheme runs from Saturday 18th July to Sunday 6th September 2026 (inclusive). Any child aged 5 to 15 can travel for free on participating bus services throughout the region during that period; children under 5 already travel free year-round on most services. It's a great way to get the kids out and about this summer without the travel costs adding up.
