Goodness, goodness, goodness! That’s partly us being totally wowed by this sensational prize draw from wonderful Wildsmith, a multi-award winning brand, which is the epitome of skincare luxury and effectiveness. But it’s also our way of describing this range: Wildsmith is a real passion project that truly fuses nature with science, which we were thrilled to be involved right from the start.

Winding back nearly three years, Wildsmith, a then totally unknown name, asked Beauty Bible to conduct a special trial with a panel of our diligent testers on their initial products: Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Active Repair Copper Peptide Cream and the matching Serum.

As usual, we warned the brand that we never guarantee favourable responses but, golly gosh, how our testers raved about the products. ‘Brilliant, absolutely amazing – the best cleanser I’ve ever used’; ‘I can’t get enough of this cream – my skin has never been so healthy and smooth and glass like’; ‘I’ve greatly benefited from this serum – my “Miracle in a Bottle”, were just some of the Comments in the detailed questionnaires completed by our testers.

Since then Wildsmith has added five more products, all of them true heroes in our book – and with our testers. In our last round of testing Wildsmith Skin Active Super Oil (the runner up prizes here) romped away with a Gold Award. Interestingly – though not surprisingly to us – it suited testers with combination skin. One tester with dry to very dry skin combined with an oily T-zone said this lovely light oil ‘completely changed my mind about using oils, sinking in within ten minutes and leaving skin extremely smooth, very soft and looking incredibly dewy and generally healthy’.  Testers unanimously loved the aromas of the products.

There was another Gold Award for Active Repair Copper Peptide Cream, a particular favourite of the Beauty Bible team. (Confession: Sarah had run out recently but ‘borrowed’ Jo’s when she was staying over with her – pre lockdown – and somehow, it ended up coming home with her…).
