What is Blooming Great Tea Party?

Once again we're asking amazing supporters like you to throw a tea party for Marie Curie. Invite your friends, family or colleagues to join you for tea and cake, and don't forget to price your slice!

Throwing a Blooming Great Tea Party is so much more than an excuse to catch up with family and friends (though that's a great reason to host one, too).

By making the most of our fundraising tips, your tea and cake can help us provide care and support to more dying people and their families.

We're counting on your cuppa

Here are just a few examples of how your fundraising can make a real difference to people at the end of their lives:

£23 could pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home.

£100 could help fund half an evening's care in a person's home when they need it most.

£200 could help fund nine hours of nursing support in someone's home through the night, bringing the expert care and comfort families need.

Sarah and her daughters Ella and Beth threw their own Blooming Great Tea Party

"After my mother-in-law Valerie passed away, we always said we'd do something to raise money for Marie Curie, and then we saw the Blooming Great Tea Party. My daughters' birthdays are quite close together, so we decided to throw a 'dance tea party' to celebrate. We raised £170. It was brilliant."
