  • Who can join?

    NielsenIQ Panel Members are volunteers who come from all over the UK and it is very important to us that our Shopping Panel represents the many different types of households that make up our entire population. This is why we invite all types of households to join, from single people to large family households. It is also why we have members from all different ages, starting from 18 right the way up to 90! You are an important member of the UK population with a household that has unique shopping habits. It doesn't matter to us how much or little you buy, we just ask that you scan everything that is bought by your household.

    This is why we would like YOU to join our important Shopping Panel.

  • What will I have to do when I join?

    As a Panel Member, you'll tell us about all the purchases made in your household. It is very simple and nothing will need to be written down. Instead, you would use our Mobile Scanning App, to capture the barcode on each product bought. This then gives us most of the information we need.

  • How will I be rewarded?

    In return for scanning all your household's shopping, you will be rewarded with 'Weekly Points', plus 'Bonus Points' for consecutive weekly scanning. Also, extra points can also be earnt by choosing to answer our online surveys, which we will email from time to time. All these points can be saved up and then exchanged against a wide range of popular gift vouchers, which are listed in our online member Gift Catalogue. In addition to this, every 4 weeks your membership number will automatically be entered into a fantastic prize draw, in which we give away amazing prizes!

  • What happens to the information I scan?

    Once a week, the shopping information you would have scanned will be collected from you automatically, via your device, at no cost to you. This scanning information will then be combined anonymously, along with the rest of our Shopping Panel's data. Specific analyses will then be carried out on the Panel's "whole pot" of shopping information which then provides important facts and trends to many different manufacturers and retailers.
