We have four sets of Hada Labo Tokyo products to give away, each worth over £70, plus 12 runner-up prizes, each £16.95

Hada Labo Tokyo tops the skincare charts in its home country Japan where women know a thing or ten about caring for their complexions. It’s been dubbed the Holy Grail of high street skincare for its ability to super-hydrate your skin. That means your complexion looks plumper and more supple, brighter and smoother, and fine lines and wrinkles soften and fade with regular use. (We can’t imagine anyone not wanting all that…)

The magic ingredient is hyaluronic acid (HA), which draws and absorbs water into your skin like a sponge. But – and this is key – Hada Labo doesn't use just one type of HA. These sophisticated formulations contain three or four different weights of HA, which penetrate at different depths into your skin for what Hada Labo calls ‘multi layer hydration’. (Hada Labo, by the way, means Skin Laboratory.) Alongside HA are those other skin-rejuvenating wonder ingredients – collagen and a gentle form of retinol called retinyl palmitate.

The brand’s stratospheric rise really took off with Anti-Ageing Super Hydrator Lotion, one of the first ‘watery lotions’ to hit the shelves, which spawned a raft of ‘me too’ products. Fragrance-free like the whole range, some reviewers have called Super Hydrator Lotion ‘life changing’ and it gained a cult following for its skin-cherishing and glow-promoting properties. Sweep it down neck and décolletage too. Savvy beauties are even using it under hand cream during these hard-on-hands lockdown days. Price-wise, it’s £16.95 for a generous 150ml bottle.

Alongside Super Hydrator Lotion, which should be used am/pm, our four Beauty Bible winners will receive Anti-Aging Wrinkle Reducer Day Cream with Super Hyaluronic Acid, collagen and retinol (from £17.95 for 50ml). Smooth that on top of the ‘watery lotion’ and it will lock in the glow, protect your skin barrier against pollutants and provide a perfect base for make up.

Both morning and night, after cleansing the first thing to do is to pat on Deep Wrinkle Corrector Eye & Mouth Area Cream (from £14.95 for 15ml). Like the whole Hada Labo range, this is suitable for sensitive skin types.

Next, stroke on the Super Hydrator Lotion again then top it with Special Repair Treatment Night Cream (from £19.95 for 50ml), again stuffed with a bunch of truly fantastic ingredients to repair and restore the skin overnight (when it does most work on cells) as well as locking in moisture through a special formula.

Regarding the packaging, we’re delighted to learn that ‘some products have 100% recyclable packaging and overall the Hada Labo Tokyo range has 84% recyclable components’; the company is hoping to make improvements on the remainder in the future. Haha Labour does not test on animals.

So – four winners will receive a bundle of the four products listed above, worth over £70, PLUS 12 runners-up will each receive a 150ml bottle of Anti-Ageing Super Hydrator Lotion, worth £16.95.

We nearly forgot to say – it’s brilliant for men’s skin too.
