MCDONALD’S fans who missed out on their free fries last week will have another chance to grab some chips on the house today.

Medium fries typically cost around £1.09 but prices do vary between branches.

Even if you did manage to bag some last week, there's nothing stopping you picking up more free chips today as the deal applies to new and existing customers.

The freebie is available to anyone using the My McDonald's app, which can be downloaded for free on Google Play or the App Store.

Once you've installed it, go to the "Deals" section on the day the offer is live and you'll find a button for your free chips.

The deal will only be available from 11am until midnight, and you don't need to purchase anything else on the Maccies menu to claim your freebie.

You'll also need to make sure you live near a McDonald's restaurant, as the offer can't be redeemed on Uber Eats.

The majority of McDonald's 1,200 restaurants will be participating in the promo, apart from 28 stores that aren't on the app.

You should first check where your nearest Maccies is by using the online restaurant finder.

Once you know where to go, check the terms and conditions of the offer once it goes live to make sure your nearest McDonald's is taking part.

For those who managed to bag their free fries last week and are thinking of going back for round two, you might want to know that a medium portion of Maccies chips contains 337 calories, so remember to eat responsibly.

The free fries are part of McDonald's month-long Appy Days promo, running throughout January.

So far, customers have been able to bag free milkshakes or Coke Zeros in the deals bonanza.

On Wednesday, customers could get a free bacon roll with any hot drink purchased on the app.

Other freebies include McMuffins and cheese melt dippers for app users.

McDonald's has also knocked £3 off £10 worth of food when spending on the app.
