Qmee: An Approved Way to Earn Easy Money Online

Editor's note: this blog post was originally written in April 2016 and has been updated for clarity and with the latest information.

Get paid to search the internet? Sounds too good be true, right? Wrong!

I'm here to let you into a little secret, the fab website Qmee which does exactly what it says on the tin. Earn cash rewards for shopping and searching online, it's really that simple.

First things first...

What is Qmee?

  • Qmee is a FREE app that sits in your browser and rewards you for performing certain searches.
  • It cleverly tracks your online activity and figures out what appeals to you and presents adverts in your sidebar with similar products.
  • When you click on these products, you get paid, simple!

The folks who created Qmee believe that advertising on the internet should be a profitable experience for everyone, not just the power players at the top of the internet game.

It works with all popular search-based websites including:

  • Google
  • Bing
  • Yahoo
  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Tesco

And lots more. Plus, as it's browser-based, it works regardless of whether you own an Apple or a Windows-powered device.

How does Qmee work?
Qmee Search

For all those who aren't tech-savvy, don't worry. Qmee is extremely easy to use. All you have to do is:

  1. Sign up on their website
  2. Connect your PayPal account
  3. Install the app

Once activated, Qmee displays search activated results based on your browsing activity. If you click on a sponsored link, you can get paid up to 10p per link which appears directly in your inbox.

As well as paid links, you also occasionally receive offers on your favourite shops and sites. It works off accessing your data, tabs and browsing activity and bookmarks which some may argue is slightly intrusive, but I've found that the links I've received as a result are worth it

Plus, if you've got nothing to hide that shouldn't be a problem!

Just as you might be starting to think that this is too good to be true, it's important to understand that Qmee has only sponsored entries in their database as it attempts to match your search.

Basically, it will not be possible for Qmee to match a search with a sponsored link every time. I usually receive around 2 links on average per day.

How do I get paid with Qmee?
Qmee Piggybank

When you click on the sponsored link, the pennies immediately hit your piggy bank which you can see as it happens in the top right of your browser bar. You can always log into your Qmee account to see your balance.

When it comes to transferring and transacting your cash, follow the on-screen instructions and transfer your chosen amount into your PayPal account, or you can donate to charity if you're feeling generous.

Can I trust Qmee?

I understand that it's hard to trust a lot of websites on the internet that offer passive income and claim to pay you for searching.

However, as a frequent user of Qmee for over two years, I, and thousands of others, can safely confirm it is a legitimate app.
