The Angel of the north is a contemporary sculpture located in Gateshead, England designed by Antony Gormley. It's worth going to look at this impressive sculpture close up as it stands at 66 feet or 20 metres tall with wings measuring 178 feet or 54 metres across.
The Locomotion celebrates Shildon's history as one of the world's oldest railway towns. The first passenger train on the first passenger railway in the world left from here in 1825.
