On the 12th January a devestating earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck Haiti leaving as many as 200,000 people dead. Haitian authorities also estimated that 250,000 people sustained injuries and as many as one million Haitians were left homeless.
Many children and adults are in desperate need of shelter, clean water and medical help.
